(1) Has a review of the Act commenced?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If yes to (1), what is the anticipated timeframe of the review?
(4) Which stakeholders will be consulted during the review?
(5) Will interested members of the public be given an opportunity to provide input into the review?
(6) If yes to (5), how?

(1) Planning is currently underway and the review is due to commence in May.
(2) As above
(3) The review must be tabled before each House of Parliament by 31 December 2012.
(4) Comprehensive consultation will occur with numerous stakeholders including relevant government departments, the Western Australian Council of Social Services and leaders of political parties.
(5) Yes
(6) There will be a six week consultation period for stakeholders and interested members of the public to make written submissions to the review. The review and the call for submissions will be announced through newspaper advertisement in The West Australian.
