I refer to the Report on Overseas Air Travel for the 3 months to 31 December 2024 and two trips to Indonesia by L David and D Hodkin from 24 to 27 November 2024 for a cost of $4,925 with the stated purpose of Factory Acceptance Testing. Can the Minister advise: (a) What this Factory Accepted Testing was; (b) What is the application to Western Australia ; (c) What were the outcomes from this visit; (d) Was a report prepared for the department and or Government: (i) If so, can this report be tabled; and (ii) If not, why not; (e) Why was it necessary to send two individuals for this testing; and (f) In whose employment are these two individuals as they are noted as ‘other’ in terms of designation?

(a – b)
The factory acceptance testing was for the newly refurbished Frame 6B gas turbine rotor, to be used in Synergy’s Pinjar power station. Tests undertaken included mechanical runout, dimensional inspection, rotor balancing, and residual demagnetisation.
(c - d) The outcome of the factory acceptance testing is commercial in confidence.
(e – f)
Two, Synergy employed, subject matter experts attended this testing, to ensure compliance with Synergy’s specifications and to confirm operational and maintenance requirements. Such inspections are a routine part of the commissioning process.
