We will continue to
roll out our ambitious program, which I just outlined. I know the minister has
a list of units around Western Australia for which we are now in the process of
engaging with organisations, identifying properties and undertaking necessary
construction.
Our record speaks
for itself. We are the party that invests in family and domestic violence
services. We are the party that continues to put the resources in to boost
awareness, and to make sure that police have more equipment and more
information, and that we have better laws to make sure that we can prosecute family
and domestic violence offenders when appropriate. That stands in stark contrast
with those opposite, who opposed our firearm laws, which are, in large part, about
keeping family and domestic violence sufferers safer.
Mr Lachlan Hunter interjected.
The Speaker: Member for Central Wheatbelt!
Mr Roger Cook: We are the party that opens women's
shelters. Parties opposite close them.
