the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the resignation of
Healthway's former executive director, Mr David Malone.
(1) What was the dollar amount paid
for each of the following —
(a) accrued annual leave;
(b) pro rata long service leave;
(c) payment in lieu of notice; and
(d) payment for years of service?
(2) Was this
entitlement payout the total amount of all severance payments made to Mr
Malone; and, if not, what was the value of any additional payments made?
(3) What was the total dollar amount
of all payments made to Mr Malone following his resignation?
(4) How many weeks of pay was he
entitled to —
(a) in lieu of notice; and
(b) for years of service?

(1)–(4) The
terms of Mr Malone's resignation were negotiated and agreed without
ministerial involvement or approval. However, the Premier has made a commitment
to release the details of the relevant agreement, and this will be done subject
to the receipt of advice from the State Solicitor's Office.
