The valuations have been undertaken in accordance with the relevant compensation provisions of the Land Administration Act 1997, which will form the basis for compensation payments after negotiation and/or compulsory acquisition. These valuations estimate that the cost of acquisition will be approximately $38 million, which includes land value and all applicable compensation entitlements including compensation for both the property owners and businesses. Given that negotiation with land owners and tenants is currently in progress, it is not appropriate that further details of the valuations be disclosed.
