The Department of Housing advises as at 28 February 2015:
(a) The total refurbishment cost was $359,666.
(b) The total amount expected from the sale of the properties was $2,010,000.
(c) - (d) Balga is one of the suburbs included in the Department's New North project. The project aims to redevelop older public housing estates to create more attractive living environments, reduce the Department's rental presence and encourage home ownership. Revenue from the sales will be redistributed to the Department's housing programs.
