These regulations amend the Bail Regulations 1988 and the Criminal Procedure Regulations 2005. The amendments remove the option to opt-out of receiving electronic notifications from forms related to bail and remove a witness signature requirement from a form.
The changes affect individuals involved in bail proceedings and court officers. Individuals will no longer have the option to opt-out of electronic notifications related to bail. Court officers will no longer need to obtain a witness signature on a specific form.
