These regulations amend the Building Regulations 2012, updating fees, clarifying demolition requirements related to property transfers, and making minor corrections. They also update references to local government areas in Schedule 4 and 5.
Building owners, new property owners, and local governments are affected. New owners intending to demolish dwellings must provide a declaration. Prior owners may have a defence against penalties if such a declaration was provided. Fee for regulation 53(2)(b) is updated. Local governments have updated district references.
