These regulations amend the Children and Community Services Regulations 2006. The amendments relate to prescribed agencies for information sharing, increase the amounts payable for the care of children, and prescribe personal material for the purposes of section 97(1) of the Act.
The changes affect government agencies involved in information sharing, carers of children in care (due to increased payments), and the Department responsible for managing children's personal information. Carers will receive increased payments. The Department will need to manage a broader range of documents as 'personal material'.
