This notice publishes the Code of Practice for Persons Working on or Near Energised Electrical Installations. It provides additional requirements for those authorising or carrying out electrical work on or near energised electrical installations, supplementing the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991.
Electrical contractors, in-house electrical workers, employers, and those in control of workplaces where electrical work is performed must adhere to the Code. This includes following procedures for de-energising equipment and implementing risk management practices when working on or near energised installations.
