These regulations amend the Prisons Regulations 1982 and the Young Offenders Regulations 1995 to update references from the 'Executive Director, Public Health and Scientific Support Services' to the 'Chief Health Officer' and to redefine the approval process for analysts.
The changes affect the administration of health-related procedures within prisons and young offender facilities. The Chief Health Officer now has the responsibilities previously held by the Executive Director, and the chief executive officer approves analysts employed by approved analysis agents.
