These rules amend the Criminal Procedure Rules 2005 to insert Part 7A, which prescribes the forms to be used for applications for summons or warrants under section 54(2)(b) of the Bail Act 1982 and notices related to arrests without warrant under section 54(2)(a) of that Act.
Police officers and judicial officers are affected by the introduction of new forms (6A and 6B) for applications and notices related to bail matters under the Bail Act 1982. Lawyers representing accused persons will also be affected.
