Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004

Amends the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007 to update references to the ADG and IMDG Codes, clarify definitions, and introduce new duties related to the transport of dangerous goods in portable tanks and tank vehicles.

Affects consignors and prime contractors involved in the road and rail transport of dangerous goods. They must comply with updated code references and ensure accurate information on portable tanks and tank vehicles. A transitional period is provided for ADG Code compliance.
