These regulations amend the Education Regulations 2000 and the School Education (Student Residential Colleges) Regulations 2017 to update immunisation requirements for enrolment in schools and student residential colleges, aligning them with the Public Health Act 2016.

Schools and student residential colleges are affected by the changes to enrolment requirements. Parents/guardians applying to enrol students will need to provide immunisation status information in accordance with the Public Health Act 2016 and, if applicable, the student's Medicare number.
