These regulations amend the Electricity Industry Regulations 2005 and the Electricity Industry (Obligation to Connect) Regulations 2005 to address stand-alone power systems (SPS). They introduce requirements for distribution licensees to have SPS engagement strategies and clarify obligations for connecting premises to distribution systems or providing SPS.
