These regulations prescribe the Interim Code of Fair Practice for Retirement Villages 2018 under the Fair Trading Act 2010. The code sets out practices for the promotion, sale, and operation of retirement villages and expired on 30 September 2018.
Retirement village operators and prospective residents were affected by the code's requirements regarding advertising, contracts, management, dispute resolution, and termination of contracts. The regulations and code are no longer in effect.
