Principal Act
These regulations amend the Home Building Contracts Regulations 1992 to allow a higher deposit (up to 20%) for cabinetry work where off-site work is more than 50% of the contract value. It also updates Schedule 1 regarding deposit limits.
Builders undertaking significant off-site cabinetry work can now request a larger deposit, potentially improving cash flow. Homeowners may need to pay a larger deposit upfront for such projects.
