These regulations amend the Land Administration Regulations 1998 to phase in increased rents for pastoral leases where the 2019 determined rent is greater than 120% of the 2014 determined rent, as per section 124A of the Land Administration Act 1997.
Pastoral leaseholders in Western Australia will have rent increases phased in over 1-2 years if their 2019 rent determination is significantly higher than their 2014 rent. This affects the amount of rent payable in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
