These regulations declare the Kalumburu Community a restricted area under the Liquor Control Act 1988, prohibiting the possession and bringing of liquor into the area, with exceptions for exempt persons and religious services. They also amend the Liquor Control Regulations 1989.
Residents and visitors to the Kalumburu Community are affected by the restrictions on liquor. Exempt persons (tourists) are allowed to possess liquor in designated camping areas. Licensees face higher penalties for violations. Police are granted powers to seize and dispose of liquor.
