This order abolishes the ward system in the Shire of Dowerin, effective from the next ordinary election day. It also provides directions for conducting the next election as if the ward changes are already in effect.
Residents and candidates in the Shire of Dowerin are affected, as the entire shire will vote as one district in future elections. The Shire of Dowerin administration must prepare for and conduct the next election without wards.
