This proclamation commences specific sections (5, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 24, 57, 64, 65, 66, 68 and 74(1) and (2) and Part 4) of the Local Government Legislation Amendment Act 2019, bringing them into operation the day after the proclamation is published in the Gazette.
Local governments and individuals affected by the specified sections of the Local Government Legislation Amendment Act 2019 will be subject to the changes enacted by those sections from the day after gazettal. This also triggers the commencement of related regulations.
