These regulations amend the Dangerous Goods Safety (Explosives) Regulations 2007 and the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007 to waive or reduce certain fees in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mining and petroleum businesses and individuals applying for licenses and permits related to explosives and the transport of non-explosive dangerous goods will benefit from waived or reduced fees during the designated period. The Chief Officer is required to refund certain fees paid between April 1, 2020, and the commencement date.
