These regulations repeal the Mines and Petroleum Regulations Amendment (COVID-19 Response) Regulations 2020. This effectively removes the temporary amendments made to mining and petroleum regulations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mining and petroleum operators are affected as the temporary COVID-19 related regulatory amendments are no longer in effect. This means they must revert to the standard operating procedures and regulations that were in place before the COVID-19 amendments.
