📜 Mines and Petroleum Regulations Amendment (Royalty Information) Regulations 2022
These regulations amend the Mining Regulations 1981, the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2015, and the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2015 to allow the Director General of Mines and the Minister to release royalty information to the Director General of Finance and Department of Finance workers for royalties activities.
The Department of Finance is granted access to mining and petroleum royalty information to prepare for or undertake royalty administration and collection. Mining and petroleum operators may see changes in how royalties are administered.
