These regulations amend the Police Force Regulations 1979 to update the rules regarding facial hair for police officers. It replaces the previous regulation 909(3) with a new requirement that facial hair must comply with the Commissioner's uniform and appearance instruction.
Police officers are affected. They must ensure their facial hair complies with the Commissioner's uniform and appearance instruction. This provides the Commissioner with greater control over the appearance standards of the police force.
