📜 Road Traffic Regulations Amendment Regulations 2017
Regulations7 Feb 2017 p. 1171-77 February 2017
Principal Act
These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Blood Sampling and Analysis) Regulations 1975, the Road Traffic (Drug Driving) Regulations 2007, and the Road Traffic (Urine Sampling and Analysis) Regulations 1983. They prescribe pathology collectors and phlebotomists as 'prescribed sample takers', specify particulars for sample delivery to analysts, and adjust certain fees.
Pathology collectors and phlebotomists are now authorized to take samples. Police and analysts must record and manage sample delivery information. Individuals subject to blood/urine tests will see updated forms. Fees for certain analyses are increased, impacting those required to undergo testing.
