Principal Act
These regulations amend the Surrogacy Regulations 2009 to update the definition of 'counsellor' and remove the term 'approved' in relation to counsellors involved in surrogacy arrangements.
Individuals and couples seeking surrogacy arrangements are affected, as the requirements for counsellor qualifications are updated. Counsellors who are full members of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association are now recognised.
