These regulations amend the Taxation Administration Regulations 2003 to allow the Commissioner of State Revenue to disclose certain information to the Australian Border Force Commissioner, the chief executive officer of the department administering vocational education, and the ACNC Commissioner.
The regulations affect the Australian Border Force, vocational education and training providers/apprentices, and charities/not-for-profits by allowing the sharing of taxpayer information. This may improve compliance and oversight in these sectors.
