These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Administration) Regulations 2014 and the Western Australian Photo Card Regulations 2014 to allow for the verification and disclosure of information through a digital identity exchange and the national Document Verification Service.
Government agencies seeking to verify identity information will be able to do so through a digital identity exchange. Individuals are affected as their driver's licence, learner's permit, or photo card information may be accessed for verification purposes.
