These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014 and the Western Australian Photo Card Regulations 2014 to waive fees for replacement driver's licences, learner's permits, and photo cards lost, damaged, or destroyed as a direct result of an approved emergency.
Individuals who have lost or had their driver's licences, learner's permits, or photo cards damaged or destroyed due to a declared emergency, state of emergency, or approved hazard will not be required to pay a fee for a replacement document. This reduces the financial burden on affected individuals during emergency situations.
