These regulations amend the Vocational Education and Training (Colleges) Regulations 1996 to include concessional or youth students, specify courses with no fees for these students, and update eligibility criteria for fee exemptions, including those related to Commonwealth employment programs.
Concessional and youth students may benefit from fee-free courses. Colleges need to identify and implement fee waivers for eligible students. Individuals participating in jobseeker programs may be eligible for fee exemptions. The regulations also clarify fee payment arrangements when courses are reclassified.
