These regulations amend the Vocational Education and Training (General) Regulations 2009 to include provisions for school-based apprenticeships, clarify requirements for complying training plans, and standardise penalty wording.
Employers, apprentices, training providers, and schools involved in school-based apprenticeships are affected. They must adhere to new requirements for training plans, including endorsement by the school and timely signing and submission of the plans. The regulations also clarify the process for updating training plans when training providers or employers change.
