These rules amend the Wholesale Electricity Market Rules to address constrained access facilities and entitlements. They introduce a review process for constrained access certification and clarify the requirements for providing evidence of network access for facilities seeking certified reserve capacity.
Market participants operating constrained access facilities will be affected by the new determination process for constrained access entitlements. AEMO and Network Operators will be required to conduct reviews and provide information related to constrained access.
