These rules amend the Wholesale Electricity Market Rules to incorporate Constrained Network Access reform. They extend the implementation date for these reforms to 1 October 2022 and clarify AEMO's responsibilities and funding related to the reform.
AEMO's responsibilities are expanded to include Constrained Network Access reform. The Economic Regulation Authority must consider the reform's implementation when determining AEMO's allowable revenue. Market participants are affected by the changes to the Wholesale Electricity Market operation.
