These rules amend the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Arbitration Rules 2011 to introduce an electronic document system (EDS) for lodging documents and receiving notifications, with exemptions for self-represented parties and cases where EDS is unavailable.
Workers, employers, insurers, and the Arbitration Service are affected. Most parties must now use the EDS for lodging documents and receiving notifications. Self-represented parties and those granted exemptions can lodge documents via alternative methods. The Arbitration Service will primarily use EDS for notifications.
