Working with Children (Screening) Amendment Act 2026

This proclamation brings into operation most of the Working with Children (Screening) Amendment Act 2026. Specifically, all sections except sections 1 and 2 of the Amendment Act will commence on 17 September 2026.

This proclamation activates the substantive changes introduced by the Working with Children (Screening) Amendment Act 2026. Individuals and organisations involved in child-related work will need to comply with the new provisions of the amended Act from the commencement date.
