Tender description
The Opportunity
Through this Expression of Interest (EOI) process, East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS), the building owner and property manager, is seeking service providers that are interested in occupying the Byford Health Hub (‘the Hub’) under a lease or licence agreement to deliver one or more of the following services at low or no cost to consumers:
Episodic urgent care Limited medical imaging (i.e. mobile X-ray with or without general ultrasound) to support the Hub's episodic urgent care service* There is also the potential for these services to be complemented by primary care.
* Pending the Applicant's preferred service model, community referrals for limited medical imaging (i.e. beyond referrals from the Hub's episodic urgent care service) could also be accepted without the expectation of being low or no cost to consumers
About the Byford Health Hub
The Byford Health Hub will offer a new way of delivering care closer to home for the local community. It will include a mix of WA Health outpatient, child health, pathology collection, urgent/primary care, mental health, community health and social services delivered by a range of public, private, and not-for-profit providers. These services will be informed by community needs and aim to be connected in the way they run. One of the Hub’s benefits will be reducing pressure on Armadale Hospital’s emergency department by boosting access to services in the community. Construction has now started on the Hub, which will open in 2027.
