WACHS seeks a contractor for Radiation Oncology Services in Geraldton, including equipment commissioning and ongoing service, for a new centre.

As part of a State Government election commitment, WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is currently building a purpose-built Radiation Oncology Centre (ROC) in the Geraldton region. This centre is near completion, inclusive of medical equipment, Furniture Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) and end user ICT equipment. WACHS’ commitment to country communities is to partner with cancer service Contractors, use innovative technology and a skilled workforce to bring excellent cancer services closer to home for country people, so that the lack of service access and treatment completion are no longer barriers to good health outcomes.

As such WACHS requires the provision of Radiation Oncology Services for the Geraldton region. The delivery of Radiation Oncology Services in the Midwest region will provide radiation oncology treatment closer to home, assisting patients to maintain connection to family and community while undertaking cancer treatment.

The Contract will have two distinct service requirements:

The commissioning and calibration of the ROC major medical equipment

The provision of Radiation Oncology Services and service and maintenance of equipment.
