WA Police Force is procuring versatile bicycles for patrols and search/rescue, suitable for urban and rugged terrain use. Closing this month.

The Western Australia Police Force (Customer or the WA Police Force) are seeking to purchase bicycles to be utilised for patrols.

While the principal use of the bicycles will be to conduct street patrols and mobile patrols at major events, on occasion the bicycles may be utilised for research and rescue operations in rugged terrain. In order to ensure capacity and effective operational use of the bicycle fleet, the WA Police Force will require bicycles to be suitable and designed for use as both a “mountain trail bicycle” and “urban bicycle” to be utilised in/on the following conditions:

paved/tarmac surfaces; grassed surfaces; and rugged terrain which may include the following conditions: wet, muddy and sandy surfaces, over rough rock surfaces and bush/fire trails.

The Western Australia Police Force is seeking bids for bicycles, with the tender closing on 2026-08-11. The procurement method and contract value are not yet public, and no winning contractors have been announced.
