This Request is for the supply of Sutures and Internal Fixation Devices, Skin Adhesive Glue and Skin Closure Devices to Western Australian Health Service Providers (HSP’s). The scope of this Request encompasses a range of goods and services, including associated training, education, support, and maintenance.

The contract will replace the existing Whole of Health Contract, HCNS118013 – Supply of Sutures, Skin Adhesive Glue and Skin Closure Devices to Western Australian Public Health Care Units. The proposed new contract will incorporate a range of new categories.

The proposed contract will operate as a state-wide standing offer arrangement (Head Agreement) with Orders (Customer Contracts) placed on an ‘as required’ basis over the term of the Head Agreement. The resulting standing offer will include up to 13 categories, as listed below.

CATEGORY 1: Sutures. CATEGORY 2: Sutures Pledgeted. CATEGORY 3: Suture Needles. CATEGORY 4: Ties. CATEGORY 5: Tapes and Loops. CATEGORY 6: Skin Adhesive Glue. CATEGORY 7: Skin Closure Devices. CATEGORY 8: Surgical Suturing Closure Systems, Devices and Accessories. CATEGORY 9: Fixation Devices and Systems (including Suture Anchors). CATEGORY 10: Suture Capturing Devices/Systems. CATEGORY 11: Suture Passer Systems and Components. CATEGORY 12: Suture Retrievers. CATEGORY 13: Suture Dispensing Systems/Units. Respondents must nominate the categories of Goods they wish to offer and may offer one or more Goods under each nominated category. Each category of Goods will be considered independently. It is intended that one or more contractors may be appointed for individual line items within each category and/or subcategory.

The buyer is the Department of Housing and Works, acting for Western Australian Health Service Providers. The procurement method is a tender, and the original contract value and winning contractors are not yet publicly available as it is an opportunity stage.
