💉 Integrated mental health and self-management for diabetes

WA Health awards $1.8M contract to Diabetes WA for integrated diabetes self-management and mental health support programs, an election commitment.

The proposed ‘Integrated self-management and mental health support programs for diabetes’ grant agreement will enable the continued delivery of critical services to people with diabetes living in Western Australia (WA). The self-management programs will focus on building people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes’ ability to self-manage their diabetes. This will include programs on topics such as dose adjustment, carbohydrates and portion control, medication, and foot care. A program will be piloted to provide mental health support via Telehealth for adults living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

The Department of Health (Royal Street) awarded a $1,800,000 fixed-price contract via 'Other Election Commitment' procurement method to Diabetes WA. There was only one submission for this contract.
