🗺️ Remap of 95 Aboriginal Heritage site files for Spatial Capture Correction Project

WA Dept. of Planning, Lands & Heritage awarded $86,735 contract to Oasis Heritage Solutions for remapping 95 Aboriginal Heritage sites to correct spatial data.

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (Department) has identified Aboriginal sites that have been incorrectly captured on the Register of Places and Objects (Register), and which can be rectified by a desktop survey of information held by the Department. The Contractor must undertake all tasks in accordance with the Spatial Capture Correction Project Guideline (SCCPG) (Attachment 1). At the Commencement Date, the Department will be responsible for providing the Contractor with the items included in clause 3 of the SCCPG. The Contractor must undertake the following key tasks and any other activities necessary to complete these tasks. Review and Analysis Complete a review and analysis of 95 site files to: determine suitability of sites for remapping; and ensure the information on the Register is correct. Site Files Suitable for Remapping Where a site can be remapped from the information held by the Department: Update relevant information for each site via an ACH submission on ACHknowledge, and attach: a completed BN for the Registrar proposing a remap of the site as per template provided, include a map in the BN showing both the existing and proposed site boundary; and a shapefile for each remapped site. Update the record keeping spreadsheet for each site to record the ACH Submission ID. Site Files Not Suitable for Remapping For all sites deemed not suitable for remapping, the Contractor must update the record keeping spreadsheet, ensuring adequate rationale as to why a remap was not suitable for the site is captured.
