Contractor sought for water mains upgrade at Matilda Bay ferry terminal to support firefighting services for the METRONET Swan Ferry Expansion.

The METRONET on Swan Ferry Service Expansion Project is a Western Australian Government Election Commitment to expand Perth’s ferry network along the Swan River by introducing new electric ferries, building initial terminals at Matilda Bay and Applecross, and creating a new route connecting these locations with Elizabeth Quay. The project aims to improve cross ? river connectivity, support urban development and tourism, and provide a more sustainable public transport option, with additional routes and terminals being explored for the future.

As part of the new ferry terminal design at Matilda Bay the PTA is required to deliver firefighting services. The current pressure tests indicate that the hydrant located in proximity to the site has insufficient pressure however the Water Corporation have provided indicative concept to connect two assets to ensure sufficient pressure and flow on site.

The Contractor will be required to design and construct for the Water Corporation mains upgrade to supply increased pressure and flow to the Matilda Bay ferry terminal site .
