💡 PLEXOS Integrated Energy Model Software

WA's Economic Regulation Authority awarded a $1.49M contract to Energy Exemplar for PLEXOS energy modelling software licenses via Limited Sourcing.

The Economic Regulation Authority requires a high-performance simulation platform to model the Western Australian Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM). The ideal platform will use robust, mathematical principles such as optimisation and stochastic techniques, and will be able to model the short, medium and long-term with the ability to integrate other tools. Since July 2020, the Economic Regulation Authority have been using PLEXOS integrated energy market model software and has made a substantial investment in this software. A new agreement for PLEXOS energy market modelling licenses is now required.

The Economic Regulation Authority awarded an estimated $1,489,767 contract to Energy Exemplar (Energy Exemplar Pty Ltd) for PLEXOS Integrated Energy Model Software licenses, using a Limited Sourcing procurement method. There was only one submission.
