The Department of Transport (DoT) website https://www.transport.wa.gov.au/ is comprised of approximately 730 web pages and over 1100 PDF documents. The website services the WA community in the full range of transport services offered by the Department. The most prolific customer transactions are around licensing services – particularly vehicle and drivers licence activities as well as learning to drive. Other areas include: marine safety and coastal infrastructure services; on-demand transport; aviation, port and freight regulation; and urban mobility services. Analytics data is essential for DoT to realise its vision of evidence-based decision making. Google Analytics is installed on the DoT website while the intranet (Transporta) uses Matomo. DoT is seeking expert advice on how to streamline, optimise and best leverage the analytics packages DoT currently uses. In this context, DoT is seeking the services of a digital analytical expert to: 1. Conduct an analytics and data audit of DoT's digital data set-ups which include Google Analytics and Matomo on both the DoT website https://www.transport.wa.gov.au and the DoT intratnet, Transporta 2. Based on DoT's digital objectives, develop strategic recommendations on how DoT manages its analytics and how these can be set up to meet Dot's digital objectives; and 3. Collaborate with DoT staff to clean-up and configure Dot's data on the analytics platforms to undertake what is required to meet DoT's objectives.
