Summary
WA's Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety procured an Incident Management Solution from eBMS PTY Ltd for $211,067 to enhance workplace
Tender description
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 , the employer has a duty of care to maintain safe and healthy workplaces and systems of work and provide their employees with a reporting and investigation process. When hazards or incident/accidents (including first aid treatment incidents) occur, there is a duty of care by the employee to notify the department through their line manager. The Work Health and Safety (WHS) section then manage the notified hazards, incidents/accidents and first aid incidents to ensure all hazards are eliminated or controlled and risks for incidents are reduced. WHS is required to report on all hazards, incident/accidents and first aid incidents to the Corporate Executive through the OSH Committee. To continuously improve the safety management system and to comply with legislation, the department aims to source and implement an electronic process for its employees and contractors to report hazards and accident/incidents and to allow managers to carry out investigations and implement controls for the reported issues.
