✈️ Interstate Travel Trade Engagement and Trade Public Relations Representation Services

Tourism WA awarded a $1.2M contract to The Walshe Group for interstate travel trade and PR services to boost WA tourism from East Coast markets.

Tourism WA requires an innovative and dynamic Contractor to provide trade services and trade PR representation services on the East Coast of Australia, including: Working closely with Tourism WA’s Domestic Market team, providing WA representation across the key priority markets of Victoria (VIC), New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland (QLD) and other secondary interstate markets such as South Australia (SA), Northern Territory (NT), Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Tasmania (TAS), as required; Developing and implement an Annual Trade Engagement Plan, including a schedule of training and incentive programs (including familiarisations (famils)) to domestic travel trade; Increasing WA visitation, yield and dispersal from target markets via trade training and ongoing travel trade engagement activities; Communicating effectively with industry, government and key stakeholders in market including maintaining healthy working relationships with travel trade and travel media; Providing in-market support to Tourism WA’s destination and events PR team in the implementation of consumer and trade PR strategies and activities; Providing current (and future) industry insights, report trends and implement trade engagement and PR strategies that bolster Tourism WA’s domestic marketing efforts.

The Western Australian Tourism Commission awarded an estimated $1,200,000 contract via Open Advertisement to The Walshe Group (The Walshe Group Pty Ltd).
