Tender description
A pre-election commitment was made by the Cook Labor Government to provide Western Australian (WA) women with better access to the care they need. As part of this commitment, $850,000 in operational funding was allocated to the Western Australian (WA) Branch of the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) to support new mothers through breastfeeding education classes, training for student health professionals and local parent groups in metropolitan and regional areas. Commencing in January 2026, the ABA will employ a Breastfeeding Promotions Officer and Service Delivery Officer to support and leverage the skills and expertise of the existing ABA state-wide trained volunteer workforce.
