WA Dept of Finance contracted Amanzi Consulting for $171,250 to provide coaching and mentoring in energy sector financial analysis to the Public Utilities Offic

A consultant is sought to provide Coaching/Mentoring assistance to the Government Businesses Director and division of the Public Utilities Office within the Department of Finance. The role of the consultant will be to assist the Acting Director of the division and the wider division team in considering financial and commercial matters relating to the strategies, activities and performance of the State-owned electricity corporations in Western Australia, and providing advice on these matters to the Minister for Energy. The particular requirements of the consultant are as follows. • Provide mentoring to the Acting Director in fulfilling responsibilities for developing and maintaining a high performing team within the Government Businesses division. • Provide expert guidance and assistance in the scoping, conduct and quality control for commercial and financial assessments and the formulation of advice. • Provide expert financial and commercial input into these assessments, and contribute to these assessments where there is a need for specialist expertise. • Provide mentoring to team members in approaching tasks with critical thinking and the identifying important issues to be targeted for analysis and advice.
