Tender description

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) are developing a new car park, trail head and day use area at Karijini National Park. The development will service a new Red Gorge walk trail and be added to the existing Knox Gorge car park and day use area (DUA). The proposed development will provide improved facilities and greater parking capacity for the two sites which are adjacent. The proposed car park area utilises the existing Knox Gorge car park area as well as an adjacent greenfield area to the west for the remainder. DBCA has prepared concept drawings for the parking area and requires a Civil Engineer (Engineer) to provide the following services (defined in further detail in the scope): Construction drawings and written technical specification for tender, A schedule of quantities (SOQ) and opinion of probable cost (OPC) Construction supervision and assistance to DBCA Project Manager. The following civil works are proposed: Car park, nominally for 66 cars, 8 coaster bus bays, and 12 long vehicle bays, in two-coat seal and constructed to a high use standard Access off Joffre Road (includes formation of a ‘T’ junction intersection All associated collector paths and drainage (overland flow preferred).
